Biography

Steve grew up on a farm in Waterford, Virginia and graduated from Williams College and Vanderbilt University School of Law.

After teaching English with his wife Susan Bauer in Wuhan, China, he and his family moved to Seattle in 1985, where Steve worked with the law firm of Bogle & Gates and taught at UPS Law School (then) in Tacoma. Steve moved his law office to Edmonds in 1998, where he practices commercial litigation and immigration law.

Steve, Susan and their daughter Lucie moved to Edmonds in 2003. Steve served on the Mayor’s Transportation and Climate Change Committees where he promoted biofuels and energy conservation.

He is an active member of the Alliance of Citizens for Edmonds (ACE) and the Seattle Electric Vehicle Association. His wife is a member of the Edmonds Historic Preservation Commission.
