Brackett's LandingBrackett's Landing

Located at the foot of Main Street on both the north and south sides of the ferry terminal, this park offers spectacular views of the snowcapped Olympic Mountains, Mt. Baker in the North Cascades and the waters of Puget Sound. The park includes picnic areas, interpretive information, public restrooms and showers. Paths lead to a wheelchair accessible jetty.

In 1980, this historic site was declared a marine sanctuary.

Underwater Park

The Edmonds Underwater Park is located just north of the ferry dock at the foot of Main Street in downtown Edmonds. The Underwater Park is also adjacent to the Brackett's Landing park facilities.

This park was one of the first officially designated underwater parks on the West Coast. A very popular destination, the park attracts scuba divers from all over the country seeking certification. The facility includes 27 acres of tide and bottom lands and was established as a marine preserve and sanctuary in 1970.

The park's original feature, the "De Lion Dry Dock," is over 300 feet long and was sunk in 1935. It provides a haven for schools of fish and other extraordinary plant and invertebrate life (see "Marine Life Guide" under Edmonds Discovery Programs). There are eight major structures underwater and many trails that provide diver opportunities.
